The Cambridge Spring Open Swim Meet held over the weekend of March 23/24 was a resounding success for 'Team Ely'.
Ely swimmers emerged as a dominant force, clinching an impressive total of 91 medals, 190 personal best times and 11 regional times from the team of 48 swimmers.
Among the notable athletes, the Clarke siblings, 14-year-old Megan, 12-year-old Will and 10- year-old James, distinguished themselves by securing an impressive total of 28 medals collectively.
Additionally, 10-year-old Peony Jackson emerged as a force to be reckoned with, clinching an astounding 14 medals, 13 of which were gold.
Winning their first open meet medals were 10-year-old Zachary Woods, Norah Daniels and nine-year-old Edward Gates. 11-year-old Maisie Llang highlighted her exceptional skill within the 50 and 100 metre Butterfly races securing silvers in both.
All of the swimmers achievements not only reflect the individuals abilities but also highlight the efforts of coaches, parents and supporters who play a vital role in their journey towards excellence.
