A team of 45 swimmers helped Ely Barracudas achieve 'Top Club' with a full weekend of races in Newmarket.
The last competition of 2023 didn’t disappoint, along with Top Club, 13-year-old Josh Black swam his way to Top Boy securing 12 golds and one silver.
Then, 14-year-old Oli Davey wasn’t far behind in second place with seven golds, five silvers and one bronze. For the girls, 10-year-old Peony Jackson was second overall with 12 golds.
Young swimmers just starting out on their competitive swimming journey at nine years old had a fantastic weekend with great personal best times achieved, Emily D’Souza and Dexter Davey were determined to get those medals and won 11 between them.
Each race swam contributed points to the overall position of Top Club, a fantastic achievement for all the team to be proud of and a great end to the year.
