Mildenhall Fen Tigers have raced to a fourth straight victory of the season by defeating the Berwick Bullets 49-41 in an exciting league fixture between two balanced sides.
Both teams battled hard and were neck and neck throughout most of the heats until the impressive Alfie Bowtell helped peg the bullets bag, picking up 14 of the Tiger's 49 points.
A blistering gate in heat one from Bowtell laid down a marker for the Fen Tigers, who were strong enough to repel any chance of a bullets fightback.
Captain Lee Complin also chipped in with 12 vital points, all despite a controversial refereeing decision ruling him out of heat thirteen when he got in a tangle with another rider.
The Bullets did have a chance to snatch a draw in the final heat, but with the imperious Bowtell and Complin racing, that never looked likely.

Fen Tigers' co-owner Phil Kerk said: "This was a fantastic advert for National League speedway, and we must give a lot of credit to the Berwick riders for their efforts today, they kept our boys honest all meeting, and both sides produced some fantastic entertainment for the crowd.
"Greg and his team produced an excellent racetrack, and their efforts were a major factor in what I felt was one of the best meetings at Mildenhall for a long time.
