Rail services via Ely are easing after a points failure saw a number of journeys were cancelled this morning (November 28).
A number of services were impacted, including:
-
Norwich, Ely, Stansted Airport and Cambridge
-
Between Peterborough and Ipswich and Colchester
-
Ely and London Liverpool Street
National Rail confirmed the fault had been "rectified" with Greater Anglia services returning to normal.
An update posted on the rail operator's website said: "Services via Ely are returning to normal following a points failure.
"However, due to congestion caused by an earlier line blockage, your journey may be delayed or revised until a normal timetable is restored.
"In the meantime, please allow extra time for your journey."
Other rail providers are currently accepting Greater Anglia customers experiencing disruption at Ely.
CrossCountry is accepting Greater Anglia customers between Stansted Airport and Ely, while customers travelling between Ely and London Kings Cross can use Great Northern services.
