A new exhibition at Babylon Gallery entitled 'Small but Perfect'will showcase the work of  local artists.

The event will include small, affordable artworks from many of the excellent artists in the local area.

This year's exhibition will take place throughout December in the midst of the festive season and all pieces on show will be for sale with prices ranging from £60 to £150.

The exhibition hopes to be a great opportunity for visitors to pick up original artworks as Christmas gifts for loved ones.

"As the last exhibition at Babylon Gallery for a while, it will be a great celebration of the excellent artistic talent in the area, showcasing artists who have been part of Babylon’s journey for a long time, as well as some new names," Bethany Haysom from the gallery.

Unfortunately, due to funding difficulties, Babylon ARTS has to pause its exhibition and cinema programme from January 2025.

"This pause will give the organisation time to assess the long-term viability of these programmes and explore new innovative ways to continue delivering a vibrant programme of cultural and artistic experiences," explained Bethany.

"The team at Babylon ARTS “want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff, volunteers, artists, and local community members who have played a central role in the success of our gallery and cinema.” ‘

'Small, but Perfect’ will include more than 200 artworks, each no bigger than 160cm perimeter. Artworks will come in many different mediums, including paintings, drawings, collages, photography, and more.

‘Small, but perfect’ is on from Friday, December 6- December 22. The Gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm with free entry.
