Dr Turner said: "I fell in love with primary care as a medical student and when I moved to Mereside Medical found a place that I could feel confident and safe in my practice.

"Since becoming a partner four years ago I have been encouraged to grow as a leader with the support of the partnership and the wider team.

"I feel so lucky and grateful to be able to share my passion and enthusiasm with my colleagues, trainees, students and patients."
