Soham Community Group

On the morning of November 4, members of the Monday Club got together once again at the Causeway Centre. 

Members were pleased to welcome Angela and her Pat dog Lily. Jean Gammon and her daughter Claire organised a quiz with various bygones collected over the years by Jean.

Lunch was served and Jean and Claire ere thank for organising an interesting quiz. Carol also thanked all the members who continue to donate prizes for the raffle each week, and also Andrew Fleet for donating prizes for the bingo.

Next came the raffle with Claire and Jean and this was followed by refreshments. Games of bingo were then played.

Community Care Coffee Morning

On the morning of Tuesday, November 5, a party of members and friends enjoyed an outing to King's Lynn for Christmas shopping. This was organised by David Jaye.

Comrade's Club Bingo

On the evening of Tuesday November 5, about 30 people met in the Comrade's Club for an evening of bingo. During the break for refreshments, the raffle was organised. New members welcome. Doors open at 7pm, for eyes-down at 7.30pm.

Touchpoint

Members of Touchpoint get together for coffee, tea and biscuits. There is lots of chat in the scout and guide building every Tuesday, from 11am to 1pm. New members welcome.

Methodists News

A very successful coffee morning was held in the church hall on the morning of November 8. There was lots of stalls and and home-made refreshments. The Rev Laura Martin organised the raffle and Lesley Watchorn gave the vote -of-thanks to everyone for their support. The next coffee morning is on December 13, from 10am to midday. Everyone welcome.

Over 60s Club

Ruth Ginn welcomed everyone to the meeting in The Pavilion on the afternoon of Friday, November 8. The afternoon's entertainment was provided by The Causeway Folk Group who sing and play guitars and keyboard.

Ruth gave the vote-of-thanks and presented them with a donation. Refreshments were served. Richard gave out the announcement regarding the Christmas lunch at the Cherry Tree and also organised the raffle. The meeting closed with the singing of the club hymn.

Remembrance Service

On the morning of Sunday, November 10, the service took place in St Andrew's Church. Joining the congregation was Maudie Manning and the Soham Singers.
