Ely Tigers held their first extended training sessions for women and girls.
The club saw new participants in the early sessions for under-eight, under-nine, and under-ten girls.
However, the later women's session saw 14 ladies eager to play rugby.
Simultaneously, the Cambridgeshire Ladies team, comprising players from Shelford Ladies, Cambridge Ladies, March Bears, and Cantabs, won their Eastern Counties Tri Counties fixture against Norfolk 19-12 at Thetford.
Ely Tigers hope to have representatives in future county fixtures.
