Ely City Golf Club has raised £18,000 for cancer charities.
Thanks to generous donations from members and local businesses, Patricia Nixon and George Rivers led a successful fundraising year.
The money will be evenly divided between the Cambridge Breast Unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital and Prostate Cancer UK.
In another triumph for the club, the Ely City juniors won the county junior GolfSixes league.
The young golfers had a great time participating in the competition over the summer, which helped them enjoy the game, enhance their skills, and create lasting memories.
The GolfSixes competition, launched in 2017, provides an engaging and team-based format that is suitable for young beginners.
Teams of six play six holes in pairs using the Texas Scramble format, which is aimed at non-handicap players or those with a handicap of 37 and above.
This format aims to inspire young players to continue improving their golf skills while enjoying the game.
The experience also provided an exciting opportunity for the juniors to play on some of Cambridgeshire's finest courses.
