A man was arrested on a major Cambridgeshire road on Sunday in connection with a knife-point kidnapping in Ely.
Police were called to the A1 near St Neots at around 12.50pm on October 27 after receiving reports of a wanted man driving on the carriageway.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "Officers, including from the National Police Air Service, attended and the 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of multiple offences including kidnapping.
"He has been released on bail until January 26.
“The man was wanted in connection with a reported kidnapping in the Ely area on October 21 where another man was forced into a car at knifepoint. The victim later returned home.
“An investigation is ongoing.”
