A Godmanchester student's design proposal for a sustainable community arts and culture hub in Ely is up for a national award.
Rebecca Wakely's 'The Octagon' has made the six-person shortlist for best student project at the national Architectural Technology Awards.
The awards recognise excellence in architectural technology and are organised by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT).
Rebecca studies at The Anglia Ruskin University’s School of Architecture and Planning in Chelmsford and has been shortlisted for the project that she completed as part of her ARU course.
Mark Tree, interim head of engineering and the built environment at ARU, said: “Congratulations to Rebecca for making the shortlist of the prestigious AT Awards this year – we're extremely proud of her achievement.
“We were all incredibly impressed by the design project she submitted, so it is pleasing that it also caught the eye of the awards judges. We are delighted with the deserved recognition.”
