Welsh author Manon Steffan Ross visited a college to speak with students.
She has written more than 20 children's books and three adult novels.
Students had the opportunity to ask her questions about her work, particularly her book, The Blue Book of Nebo, which they are reading as part of their lessons.
The book made history by winning the Yoto Carnegie Medal for the first time in 87 years as a translated work.
It is set in post-apocalyptic Wales and was translated by the author herself.
