Despite the weather, the events team at Visit Ely together with more than 80 traders turned out to put on a spectacular day of Apple and Harvest Fayre fun.
There was something for everyone, from apple-themed bakes, cakes and fudge to autumnal crafts, apple ID, many varieties of apples, and juice and ciders supplied by event sponsor Watergull Orchards.
Anna Bennett, event manager at Visit Ely, said: "It’s always a joy to meet all the traders, visitors and community at this particular event.
"Apple and Harvest Fayre represents a true celebration of local produce, the harvests and the start of the winter months.
"We are blessed with incredible support, year after year."
This year, the team worked with Ely Cathedral’s Harvest Festival, allowing visitors to admire flower and produce displays.
Isle ‘Ave a Shanty, Morris Dancers and Spotted in Ely Radio also attended and there was the traditional ‘longest apple peel’ contest.
"There’s rumours the 25th celebration could be a two-day event for 2025, so keep your eye’s ‘peeled’," added Anna.
"It’s an event not to be missed."
