A town council has introduced a new electric van for the grounds team to use as part of continued efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
Soham Town Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and began a journey towards lowering its impact on the planet.
It has since been making a conscious effort to reduce energy consumption with projects such as installing loft insulation in the council offices.
And building on this, councillors recently voted in favour of leasing a zero emissions electric van for its grounds team to use.

Cllr David Woricker, the Mayor of Soham, said: "It is important to us that Soham Town council doesn't just simply declare a climate emergency and then do nothing to challenge ourselves to push green initiatives.
“We are committed to looking at all our responsibilities as a local council and asking what we can do to reduce, and ideally reverse, negative impacts on our environment.
“We firmly believe that Soham can go green and save money at the same time with wise, considered investments like this.”
