An East Cambridgeshire couple have launched their second escape room in Ely.

Josh Whitrod, who runs Principal Escape Room with his partner Clare Wright, of Littleport, has opened another space at 32 St Mary's Street.

Having made a '2024 Escape Room Bucket List', Josh said: "In our new room, 'War of the Roses', teams are asked to help out Cherry Blossom, who has won Ely's Best In Bloom competition the last three years running.

"Sadly, this year, someone has ruined her garden, and there's only an hour before the judges arrive!

"Teams are tasked with restoring the garden to its former glory, and, should they have enough time remaining, figure out the identity of the saboteur."

He added that the new game is "fun and silly, and has two versions: an adult version for ages 10+, and a more family friendly version where any team members are aged 5+.

"We just swap some puzzles for easier versions so that the whole family feel included."

Principal Escape Rooms is open weeknight evenings, and all day at weekends.
