Details of Ely's annual fireworks evening have been announced.
Set to take place on Saturday, November 2 at Cherry Hill, visitors can expect another "spectacular evening" with a display from the Crazy Fireworks team set against the backdrop of Ely Cathedral.
The display will be accompanied by fairground rides, refreshment stalls and the Scouts' "Big Barbeque", offering great value food throughout the evening.
The Ely Community Events Team (ECET), who organise the annual event, are partnering with BBC Radio Cambridgeshire with Louise Hulland as guest presenter for the night.
Primary schools and youth groups for those aged-11 are invited to enter the Guy competition which offers the winner a £100 cash prize.
ECET said it had decided to keep the admittance price the same as in 2023 and 2022, with advance tickets set at £8 per adult, £4 per child and £20 per family.
Admission will start from 5pm onwards, with the bonfire set to be lit at 6.30pm and the display itself scheduled to begin at 7pm.
A record number of charitable donations were made by ECT in February following the success of last year's annual display, with £2,500 donated to the East Anglian Children's Hospices (EACH) on Tuesday, September 17 outside the Ely Tourist Information Centre.
In February, ECET handed the Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust a cheque for the same amount.
It was presented by the mayor of Ely, Cllr Chris Phillips was received by Joe Sagoe, the Trust’s corporate lead.
The funds raised from the display in 2023 has enabled ECET to hand over its highest number of donations ever, with local charities, community organisations and worthy causes all benefiting.
Included schools and other youth organisations, some to fund much-needed equipment, local arts projects, Age UK, homeless charities, and the "much-deserving" Ely Foodbank are among those to have benefitted.
