A Witcham farm has been recognised for its positive impact on the Ely area.
Vision Learning Therapeutic Farm, in Witcham, was honoured at the Cambridgeshire SME Business Awards for its contribution to the Ely area.
The awards ceremony took place at the Pike and Eel Hotel in Needingworth on Thursday, September 5, where the farm bagged the Silver Award for Ely Business of the Year 2024 and the Gold Winner for the Positive Impact Award.
These accolades mean the farm will now advance to the national SME Business Awards at Wembley Stadium on December 6.
In just a year of operation, the farm has been praised for its positive influence on the community, particularly for providing a learning environment for children and young people facing challenges in traditional school settings.
The farm, which operates from Rebecca Ward's home, offers therapeutic learning opportunities to school-aged children who struggle with daily attendance due to various issues, including learning difficulties and mental health challenges.
The award judges specifically acknowledged Ms Ward's commitment to establishing the farm, which aids children's development while fulfilling national curriculum progress indicators.
