A planned harvest celebration promises to be a feast of apple-fuelled fun.
The City of Ely Council and Visit Ely will host the 24th Apple and Harvest Fayre on October 12.
This year's celebration, supported by Poets House Ely, will include additional features, like entertainment and apple-themed decorations, across both Palace and Cross Green.
Anna Bennett said: “Celebrating the humble apple has always been fun, with the longest peel, apple ID, and apple and spoon race all taking place throughout the day.
"There will be a host of stalls, all with a harvest and autumnal twist, with apple based produce thrown in.
"If you are planning to attend, plan your day, as parking gets busy.
"The event opens at 10 am and the team are very much looking forward to welcoming the community and visitors.”
Established in 2000, the Apple and Harvest Fayre has grown significantly, becoming a beloved staple in the community calendar.
Organisers anticipate this year's fayre to draw a significant crowd, truly honouring the fruitful symbol of the harvest season: the humble apple.
