A new dog field 'available to everyone' is set to open in an East Cambridgeshire village with a range of dog-friendly facilities.
Ely Dog Field aims to open up for bookings by the end of September and will offer dog owners a site "within walking distance" from Little Downham.
Becky Mulley O-Byrne, whose grandfather owned the field, said the idea has been "in the pipeline for a long time" and decided to launch the venture with her dad Brian Mulley.
She said: "It's been a very lengthy process and we spent a long time thinking about what we could do with the land.
"I love my dogs and I'm very much a dog-obsessed person and we have a reactive dog in the family who, when he was young, used to utilise the fields.
"So we looked into it and decided to go for it and think one of the best things about the field is that it's within walking distance for many in Little Downham.
"It's less than two minutes walk from Cannon Street, so we're very close to the community, which is great for people who don't have cars.
She added: "Often dog fields are very remote and they're not really within walking distance of any sort of settlements."
With "stunning views" of Ely Cathedral, the new dog field offers the perfect backdrop for owners looking to hire the field.
Private training sessions will be provided independently of Becky, 32, with 25 and 55 minute hire options available on to book on Ely Dog Field's soon-to-be published website.
As well as a splash area, the field will feature seating, five parking spaces for those driving to the site as well as long grass and agility equipment, which will be created from recycled plastics.
Becky added: "In terms of parking, we wanted to provide enough spaces to give people an option to meet up with friends or as a group.
"We've also been communicating with RSPCA Block Fen Rescue Centre and we're thinking of donating the proceeds of our opening day to the rescue centre, which is something we'll repeat at other times during the year.
"We're completely open to everyone, and while in winter our opening hours will be shorter, in summer we'll be open from 6am to 9pm."
