Students at an East Cambridgeshire school are celebrating another year of "exceptional" GCSE results today (August 22).
The East Cambridgeshire school, which is part of the Meridian Trust, saw a number of students achieve grade 9 (A**) and grade 8 (Grade A*), which Principal Simon Warburton described as "fantastic".
Among the college's top achievers were:

Lily H - Ten 9s and one 8.

Tommy L - Eight grade 9s and one grade 8.

Martina V - Eight grade 9s and two grade 8s.

Anastasia A - Six 9s, one 8 and two 7s.

William L - Six grade 9s and three grade 8s.
Principal Simon Warburton said: “We are delighted with the results of our Year 11 cohort, who approached their studies with incredible maturity and dedication. They deserve to be very proud of their achievements today.
“At Ely College, we continually strive to be an exceptional school for an exceptional community. These fantastic GCSE results, combined with the superb A Level and vocational outcomes announced last week, are a testament to the hard work of our students, the support of their parents and our staff. It was a joy to share this moment with our students and families, and we wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their journey.”
Martin Campbell, Executive Principal at Meridian Trust, added: “A huge congratulations to everyone celebrating their well-deserved success today. The students and their families should be incredibly proud of their accomplishments. The Trust is proud of Ely College’s achievements, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff who have supported these students throughout their time at the school.”
