Students are celebrating their "excellent" set of GCSE results at Bottisham Village College today (August 22).
The East Cambridgeshire school, which is part of the Anglian Learning, saw a number of students achieve grade 9 (A**) and grade 8 (Grade A*), which Principal Jenny Rankine described as "inspiring".
Attainment at Bottisham Village College has risen in all subject areas this year, with students achieving a "commendable" set of grades.
There were several success stories in this year’s Bottisham Village College GCSE cohort, including Phoebe Dix who achieved an impressive grade 9 in all her subjects.
There was also one incredible personal achievement for Kaitlyn Hudson achieved a fantastic set of results, despite recently suffering a life-threatening illness.
Principal, Jenny Rankine, said: “I would like to offer my congratulations to all our students.
“Their hard-work, commitment and dedication to their studies has ensured that the majority look forward to the next phase of their journeys in so many post-16 avenues.
“Importantly, this is a year group which had faced much adversity in their time at secondary school and have embraced every challenge which has been thrown their way. Their efforts and attitudes have inspired us all.
“I would like to thank our staff at Bottisham Village College who have supported our students through their education journey. Further thanks goes to the student’s parents and carers for their unwavering support.”
Students will return to the college for one final time on December 3 for their certificate evening before embarking on the next chapter of their studies.
