A man who threatened his ex-partner and took a knife from her house after she called 999 has been jailed.
Nathan Thomas went to the victim’s home in Waterbeach, South Cambridgeshire, unannounced at about 9.30pm on Saturday April 6.
The 33-year-old refused to leave despite being asked to several times and fled, taking the knife, when she called police.
He had left by the time officers arrived and continued to call her and leave threatening voicemails until Wednesday April 10.
On Monday August 12, at Cambridge Crown Court, Thomas, of Peter Cowell Close, Cambridge, was jailed for 24 weeks, having pleaded guilty to harassment with fear of violence, which breached a suspended sentence.
A count of burglary related to the incident, which Thomas denied, will lie on file.
DC Timothy Taylor said: “This was a terrifying experience for the victim so I welcome the sentence handed to Thomas.
“Domestic abuse is a force priority so we will always look to put perpetrators in front of the courts.”
