Prepare to step into a world of wonder - and for a good cause - when Ely Brick Show returns to the city later this month.

Created in 2019 by father and son Duncan and Kayla, what began as a humble gathering at the Countess Free Church has become "a celebration of creativity and community".

After raising £1,500 in its first year, the show has since clocked up more than £9,000 for charity.

The event team's chosen charity for 2024 is Centre 33, which supports young people up to the age of 25 with their mental health, caring responsibilities, housing, sexual health and more.

Talented displayers will once again bring to life awe-inspiring creations at Isle of Ely Primary School from 10am to 5pm on August 31.

Sue Bridges, one of the organisers, said: "The Ely Brick Show is more than just a fundraising event; it's a celebration of creativity and community.

"Expect everything from the bustling lights of a fairground to the ancient grandeur of a Roman forum, via the thrilling adventures of Jurassic Park to the epic battles of Star Wars and the amazing Great Ball Contraptions (Lego Marble Run) and many more besides."

"Join us for exciting activities like spot the minifig, speed builds, Lego Robot Wars, Downhill Race Track, Mosaic Build and the thrilling Rally Car Challenge.

"Explore the offerings of our Lego traders, meet special guests from a galaxy far far away, and let your imagination run wild in our dedicated Lego and Duplo play areas."

Tickets are £5 each (under threes get free entry), which includes all activities and free entry to each of our competitions, spot the minifig and speed build.
