Members of the Ely Rotary Club have successfully organised a popular community event and generously supported both local and international charities.

The club members were eager to unwind at the Three Pickerels on July 25 following a month filled with charitable deeds.

Towards the beginning of the month, Aquafest, a highly supported event in Ely during summertime, was held.

The successful event was a product of year-long efforts by the club and partners.

In one of their meetings on a Thursday at Ely Bowling Club, they donated £1,000 to Centre 33 on July 11.

The following week, members were treated to an informative tour of the Ely Cemetery by the Mayor of Ely, Chris Phillips.

To continuously contribute to a global cause, some club members are convening the collection of tools for the charitable endeavour, TWAM (Tools with a Mission) that supplies developing nations with requisite tools.
