The Ely Ladies Group has moved its meeting place and wants to reach out to women in the community to come and join them.

The group was set up in March1989 to provide an opportunity once a month for ladies to come together to make new friends and listen to a talk on a variety of subjects or watch a demonstration.

Members are celebrating their 35th year and after leaving the Old Dispensary in Ely, they now meet in the Methodist Church Hall, on Chapel Street, in Ely on the first Tuesday of the month.

The session starts at 10am and refreshments are served and then there is a talk or demonstration from 10.30am till 11.30am.

"Many of our members say that coming to the group has been a lifeline, especially if you are new to the city or experiencing difficult times when friendly companionship can help," says Lesley Haywood from the group.

Easy access is from St Marys carpark through the blue iron gates(parking only 2hrs). Contact Lesley 07946020001 for more information or just turn up.Be assured of a warm welcome!
