The Welney Weekender offers a host of activities to celebrate wetland wildlife.
The event takes place at WWT Welney, West Norfolk, on July 20 and 21 to mark the start of the summer holidays.
With a range of special guests, including famous conservationists Ajay Tegala and Nick Acheson, the celebration promises to engage and educate nature enthusiasts.
Mr Tegala's talk is at 6pm on July 20 where he will discuss his experiences living and working in the Fens.
Attendees will have the chance to buy his books, The Unique Life of a Ranger and Wetland Diaries, and have them signed.
Similarly, Mr Acheson's discourse is at 2pm on July 21, followed by a book signing of The Meaning of Geese.
Lizzie Bruce, site manager at WWT Welney said: “Our Welney Weekender event will give visitors unforgettable experiences in nature, creating memories for families and moments to connect with wetlands for nature lovers.
"The fantastic team of staff and volunteers, coming together with local businesses and conservation friends, enhances our commitment to engaging audiences with incredible species and wetlands within the wider landscape”.
Extended opening hours on both days aim to accommodate varying visitor schedules.
They also offer guided wildlife experiences such as 'moth mornings', trailer tours to see cattle herds, and access to distant wetlands.
The event claims to bring their conservation work to life.
Artists and businesses are joining the celebrations, including Blended Monkey, a wood and ceramic crafts workshop.
Artist Sue Welfare will be sharing her interpretation of wetlands through linocut printmaking.
Inside the visitor centre, the plan is to hold talks on a range of inspiring subjects related to wetland history, present day conservation projects and restoring wetlands.
Members of WWT can attend the Welney Weekender for free.
Non-members can enjoy the events for £5 per adult and £2.50 per child.
