A fun day held at Ely Football Club raised more than £2,000 for a local charity.
The Totally Unstable Scooter Club hosted the event on Saturday June 29, raising £1113.67 for Break.
Adding to this, local company Xaar committed to matching the funds raised, bringing the total donation from the event to £2,227.34.
Roger Taylor, engineer at Xaar, was delighted with the turnout and said: “The fun day at Ely Football Club was not only a day of enjoyment but also a remarkable success in supporting an important cause.
“The combined efforts of the Totally Unstable Scooter Club and Xaar demonstrate the power of community in making a real difference.”
Based in East Anglia, Break has been Xaar’s chosen charity partner for the past two years.
The charity aims to transform the lives of young people in and leaving care across the east of England, providing crucial support and opportunities.
Over the last two years, Xaar has donaed more than £70,000 to support Break and aid its work.
