Two respected hair salons in Ely have joined forces to launch a new state-of-the-art venue. 

Hayley Williams and Melanie Ensell of Shine & Co and Simon Taylor and Jodie Davis of The Salon have teamed up to bring customers 'Hair': a newly refurbished space boasting high-tech facilities. 

Hair is a luxury salon boasting air massage chairs and full air conditioning. 

Jodie said: "From the moment our clients walk through the door we want to offer a relaxing and luxurious service.

"We are all very excited to work together, whatever your hairdressing requirements we can provide the high standard of service you deserve and we look forward to welcoming everyone."

Simon added: "At Hair, the team intend to indulge you while you receive a service second to none. 

"Our clients have priority status with their stylist at all times."

Hayley and Melanie worked alongside Simon and Jodie when they were members of the Simon Taylor hairdressing team. 

They worked for him for 10 years before setting out on their own 18 years ago to form Shine & Co. 

Simon and Jodie moved on themselves by opening The Salon, which they have run for the last 11 years. 

They remained close friends and the four of them often talked about opening a 'dream team' salon together. 

Professionally educated, Hair's stylists offer technical expertise in all aspects of hairdressing and treatments. 

Melanie said: "We offer a free consultation and whether you come in for cutting and styling, balayage, highlighting or glossing, perms, straightening of your locks or an amazing hair-up, the team can make your hair dreams come true."
