A man was stabbed outside Cambridge railway station and police are now appealing for witnesses and information.

The victim, aged in his 50s, was attacked in Station Square, near to Sainsbury’s and Pret a Manger, at about 12.15am on Thursday May 16.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital suffering from serious, but not life-threatening injuries.  

The suspect is described a man wearing a dark hooded top with white lines down the shoulders and arms.

He was also wearing black trousers with a white patch on the hips and had black shoes on.

The suspect cycled off on a white bike towards Devonshire Road.

DC Andy Watters said: “This was a shocking assault and I am appealing for people to come forward with information.

“It took place in a busy area, outside Cambridge Railway Station, and we know there were taxis in the area and people walking past.

“If you saw anything, please do get in touch.”
