A woman who has been running Slimming World groups for more than 26 years has won two 'diamond' awards.

Sharon Heaps achieved the awards in March 2024 (for her group held in Swaffham Prior Village Hall) and November 2023 (for her Littleport morning group at the Ex-serviceman’s Club).

The award is given to consultants who welcome a minimum of 60 members to their group each month for a year.

She said: “Members in my groups have lost an impressive, and life-changing for some, 4112.5lbs.

“That’s almost 294 stone since the start of 2024 and, as more and more people are joining us, I know these new members, which include more men than ever before, will be equally successful too.

“I truly believe I have the best, most rewarding job in the world – there’s no better feeling than helping someone to achieve their dream weight and feel good about themselves.

“Winning this award really is the icing (or the diamond) on the cake!”

Sharon's groups are held at Littleport Ex-Servicemen's Club on Tuesdays at 9am and 10.30am and at Vista Academy Littleport on Tuesdays at 5.30pm and 7pm.

She also holds groups at Swaffham Prior Village Hall on Thursdays at 5.30pm and 7pm.
