An abandoned vehicle was seized after police received reports of a man acting suspiciously inside it and later at a cash machine in Soham.
Police were called in the early hours of Friday morning (April 26) and, when officers arrived two minutes later, they found the vehicle abandoned.
Checks revealed it had no insurance, had been declared off the road and that it was involved in other incidents in the area.
The vehicle was seized.
"Trust your instincts," said police.
"If something doesn’t look right, it probably isn’t. Call us and report suspicious activity."
