A man has been left in hospital with serious injuries after an assault on Market Street in Ely.
The victim, in his 30s, was found unconscious by Cambridgeshire Police officers after they were called to the scene at 2:23am on Sunday, April 14.
Initial reports to the police stated that there was violence on Market Street.
A 30-year-old man from Brandon, Suffolk, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm without intent, and has been bailed to Wednesday, July 10.
Cambridgeshire Police are now appealing for anyone with information to contact the police online, or by calling 101 and quoting crime reference 35/25975/24.
