Three local amateur theatre groups have celebrated success at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association Regional Awards Ceremony (NODA).
Held at Trinity Park in Ipswich on April 7, Campaign Amateur Theatre (CAT) won Best Youth Production for Bugsy Malone at the Maltings in District 4S.
The Littleport Players won Best Pantomime for Alice in Wonderland and Youth Acts UP from Little Downham were nominated in the top 3 in the Youth Production category for Matilda Jr.
In addition, Alfie McCreadie won Best Youth Performance for his portrayal of Fat Sam in CAT's production of Bugsy.
The awards recognise the quality of the shows produced and the hard work involved on stage and behind the scenes.
Trevor Babbs, chair of CAT said: “All three groups were overjoyed at their nominations.
“It is a recognition of the hours of hard work put in by the casts of the three shows and the army of helpers backstage - Trevor Babbs (Chair of Campaign Amateur Theatre)
“Having three shows from this local area recognised for their excellence is something all of the nominated groups are very proud of."
