Ely Hero Awards presented their chosen charity for 2023 with a cheque for £500.
The Prospects Trust is a social enterprise that assists individuals with additional needs to find work opportunities.
The money is being used to support the 35-year '£35K for 30 Years' fundraising activities at Snakehall Farm.
The funds will go towards boosting facilities, improving the provision and continuing to grow people’s opportunities for the future.
The Prospects Trust supports young people and adults with additional needs and encourages them to grow in a supportive working environment.
Co-Workers are encouraged to flourish on Snakehall Farm in Reach or in the shop and café on Lynn Road in Ely, Unwrapped, where they gain work experience.
During the 2023 Season of Ely Hero Awards, The Prospect Trust arranged a raffle for the glitzy award ceremony held at The Maltings.
The raffle raised an additional £624.50 for The Prospects Trust, which is also being used for the 35 year fundraising activities.
Maz Baker, Prospects Trust director, said: “It was a hugely rewarding event to be part of and I cannot thank Ely Hero Awards enough for selecting The Prospects Trust as their chosen charity in 2023.
“Good Luck to everyone in 2024 in Ely Hero Awards – the magic continues.”
Naomi Sherwood, of the Ely Hero Awards team, said: "The Ely Hero Awards team is proud to help raise the profile of local charities through their event and, each year, they pledge residue funds to a worthy cause.
"Every year, the business sponsors seem to come forward to assist the chosen charities in a variety of additional ways.
"The Prospects Trust received help via a corporate volunteering day and an additional large donation from an Ely Hero Awards business sponsor.
"A local artist, Lory Beats, has also designed a beautiful piece of art which is used for co-workers cards.
"What an utterly fabulous community in Ely and the surrounding villages we have."
