Sue, a childminder from Ely, has organised a World Book Day event at Ely Library for other childminders and their children to attend.
Children arrived at Ely Library dressed as their favourite book character, while a librarian read stories to the children.
There was song singing, rhymes and craft activity all in celebration of World Book day too.
Sue, dressed as a ladybird for World Book Day, walked up Fore Hill, from the car park to the library, to fully embrace the event she organised.
She said: "Today gave us a chance to have fun with our children, whilst supporting early literacy skills, it is a chance to bring children together in a wider network where socialisation plays such an important role in holistic development.
"It is never too early in our children’s lives to do this and what better way than to utilise our local library services to recognise and celebrate our world of books.”
Sue is a volunteer who supports childminders, and organises her services in Ely.
