At the age of 69, Cathy Gibb de Swarte will be celebrating a major milestone in her volunteering work at the Littleport Parkrun on Saturday, February 3.
Anyone that has had a go at the Littleport Parkrun in Ely, will likely recognise Cathy, who is a regular volunteer at the event.
Cathy's regular volunteering work has led to her celebrating her 250th Parkrun as a volunteer this weekend (Saturday, February 3).
The dedicated volunteer said: "One of the best things about Parkrun is volunteering and encouraging everyone I meet on their fitness journey."
Cathy is also a runner herself, and has raised funds for several charities.
The 69-year-old is not only a friendly face at the Littleport Parkrun, as she also volunteers at the Ely Country Park Junior Parkrun every Sunday.
There, Cathy has clocked in 136 volunteering appearances, and is known for her 'tail walking'.
'Tail walking' is one of Cathy's "favourite" volunteering roles, as she always wears a fancy dress costume to make all of the children laugh.
Anyone running the Littleport Parkrun on Saturday, February 3, should make sure to congratulate Cathy on her incredible volunteering milestone.
