Soham’s firefighters have been awarded the Pride In Our Town Award in recognition of their service to the community over the years.
Cllr David Woricker, the Mayor of Soham, proudly presented the award to Richard Powell, the station’s watch commander, and his crew.
Cllr Woricker said: “The firefighters are part of our Soham community who could be easily forgotten because they're so modest.
“They do a marvellous job, and they do it quietly in the background without any self promotion.
“This award is to highlight the amazing work they do and is in recognition of their outstanding service to the residents of Soham over the years.”

Soham Fire Station has two fire engines which are crewed by on-call firefighters.
Its webpage on The Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service website says the station is currently recruiting more on-call firefighters and provides details for further information.
Mr Powell said: “Thank you for your recognition of Soham Fire Station in serving the community.
“I have served for 32 years now and have worked with some remarkable and dedicated people and this goes to every single one of them.”
