A popular discount retail chain hopes to open a new store at the former Wilko shop in Ely.
B&M Retail Limited has applied to East Cambs District Council on December 21 for a premises licence.
The application states that, if approved, the shop would be open seven days a week from 7am to 11pm and able to sell alcohol.
The building is located at 7 the Cloisters, Market Street, CB7 4ZH.
The notice, which has been posted on the window, also states that “any person wishing to make representations to this application must contact ECDC by January 18.
It adds that the application can be viewed, by appointment, at the council offices or on the council’s website.
