The Lighthouse in Ely has received a £200 donation from the Cambridgeshire Masonic Bowls Association.
The money was raised throughout the year through fundraising and raffles.
Along with spiritual comfort, The Lighthouse hosts a wide range of community focused events ranging from parent and toddler clubs, youth nights and foodbanks.
The donation will enable them to focus ahead to the Christmas period to provide hot meals to those struggling financially.
Commenting on the donation, Giles Cornell a Pastor at the Lighthouse, said “Ely Community Lunches are available for absolutely anyone.
“We do our best to ensure that everyone at our sit-down meals has a happy time with a warm welcome, live music, plentiful food.
“Ely Community Lunches works alongside Ely Foodbank, Age UK and the Lighthouse Centre who recommend to us people who might benefit from complementary meals”.
The Lighthouse is located at 11-13 Lyn Road, Ely, CB7 4EG.
On its website, The Lighthouse is described as “a growing church made up of people who believe that Jesus can and does make an impact on our everyday lives”.
