A historic attraction in Ely is one of just 91 across England to have been crowned a 'Hidden Gem' by VisitEngland.
Oliver Cromwell’s House won the award, which recognises high-quality visitor experiences on offer across England.
Anna Bennett, manager of Oliver Cromwell House Ely, said: “I am so delighted to accept this prestigious award from Visit England and Visit Britain.
“Oliver Cromwell’s House is a true gem based in the heart of Ely.
“I consider myself honoured to be responsible for the management of the house, the story it tells and the experience overall.
“My team behind the scenes are remarkable at providing a first-class service to all our community and our visitors.
“I am very proud of each and every one of them.”
The website for Oliver Cromwell's House reads: "Visit the former Lord Protector’s family home, the only residence still in existence other than Hampton Court.
"Following a refurbishment, our house now boasts a completely re-vamped Civil War exhibition with impressive interactive displays and interpretations.
"You’ll have the opportunity to try on costumes and try out the games of the time as well as truly experience what life was like on the battlefields during the English Civil War in our new mini encampment.
"Audio handsets bring the story of the impressive Oliver Cromwell House vividly to life."
The winter opening hours are November 1 to March 31 from 11am until 4pm.
The house is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
House tours take approximately 45 minutes. Last entry to the house is 45 minutes before closing. There is no need to pre-book.
Admission cost £6.50 for adults, £4.70 for children aged six to 16, and £18 for a family group of two adults and up to three children. Children under six-years-old receive free entry.
