Residents of an East Cambridgeshire village have been evacuated following an incident involving a gas main.
Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service crews from Ely are currently at the scene in Fordham, as well as crews from Newmarket.
They are working with staff from Cadent to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
"Some local residents have been evacuated and are being looked after," said a Cambs Fire spokesperson.
"Those in the area are advised to stay indoors and keep their doors and windows closed as a precaution.
"There is a road closure in place around Fordham, including Mildenhall Road, so please check before you travel and seek alternative routes."
