Sparks were flying on the A142 over the weekend as police pulled over a car that was missing two tyres and whose alloy had partly worn away.

Police officers on patrol in Fordham witnessed the vehicle drive past at about 4.50am on Saturday.

The driver, Paulius Krasausauskas, was arrested and later charged with drink driving.

The 38-year-old will appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on October 12.
