A horse, two mini cars and a campervan were among the modes of transport that helped students from Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy get to their prom.
The class of 2023 arrived in style on Friday July 7, with a wide array of transport assembling outside this year’s Hollywood-themed event.
Some of the Year 11 students attending the academy’s second prom night were also chauffeured in sports cars and vintage vehicles.
Present for the arrivals was a massive turnout of family, friends and the wider community.
The partygoers sported a colourful range of evening wear, with suits, ballgowns and cocktail dresses all making an appearance.
The 2023 cohort danced and ate until darkness fell; enjoying cakes, candy floss and other treats as well as a photo booth to capture the happiness with their fellow students and their teachers one last time.
Following many changes at the academy in the past year, it was an amazing opportunity for students to celebrate the end of their exams and put behind them a period of hard work and let loose a little.
Progress Leader for Year 11 at Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy, Mr Townsend, said: “We are so proud of the effort students put into their exams, and through such a time of change at the school.
"It was good to see the students able to relax and enjoy their final moments at LECA”.
The event was supported by school and community fundraising events, as well as generous donations by local businesses.
