The City of Ely branch of the Royal British Legion will mark 70 years since the signing in 1953 of the armistice which bought an end to military operations during the Korean War.
60,000 service personnel from across Britain and the Commonwealth saw action during the Korean War, with 1,100 losing their lives.
An act of remembrance, during which wreaths will be laid, will be held at Ely War Memorial overlooking the Market Square on Thursday, July 27.
The ceremony to which all members of the public are invited will begin at approximately 10.45am.
Chairman of the City of Ely branch of the RBL, Dave Martin, said: “This will be an important occasion to pay tribute to veterans who served in the Korean War, and an opportunity to inform and engage the wider audience about a war which never truly ended.”
