Two men threatened to burn a house down in a revenge attack before spraying a member of the public with ammonia.
Joseph Lyon, 24, and David Adupa, 23, drove to the house in Littleport on May 24, 2020.
Lyon claimed he had been robbed by someone who lived there but a woman answered the door and told him the person was not in.
Lyon threatened to return later and set fire to the house, along with a car parked on the drive.
A neighbour came out and took the registration of the BMW Lyon was driving, and he responded by grabbing a Lucozade bottle from the car and squirted him with ammonia.
The corrosive substance went on the victim’s torso, face and inside his mouth but he was not injured.
Lyon made more threats before speeding off in the BMW with Adupa.
Lyon was arrested by officers in Isleham on May 27, 2020, while Adupa handed himself into Parkside Police Station, Cambridge, a few days later.
On Friday (May 12), at Cambridge Crown Court, Adupa, of Larkfield Road, Ely, was jailed for one year and two weeks, having pleaded guilty to threatening to cause criminal damage.
Lyon, of Eversden Road, Harlton, South Cambridgeshire, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on January 24, and was jailed for three years, having pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of threatening to cause criminal damage, maliciously administering a poison with intent to injure a person and possession of cannabis.
DC Richard Rose said: “This was a frightening experience for both victims: one who was worried that the life of her and her family were in serious danger and the other who could have suffered life-changing injuries.
“Lyon and Adupa were incredibly aggressive that day and we will not tolerate threats and violence so I am pleased justice has been served."
