A Cambridgeshire-based dance school has been shortlisted to perform as part of a huge celebration of dance in the UK.
4D Dance, which runs in Ely, Littleport, Fordham and Cottenham, was invited to perform at U.DanceEast with eight other talented dance groups.
The 11 students were successful at this regional stage and have been shortlisted to attend U.Dance National which will be a three-day event held in Newcastle in July.
Creative director, Sara Ford, said: "Our advanced students, 4D Academy, not only performed amazingly but they were so supportive of all other groups too.
"I was even stopped by some of the DanceEast team as we left to say what a delight they had all been around the building all day."
Presented by One Dance UK, the U.Dance National Festival invites groups selected from U.Dance regional platforms to experience a summer celebration of dance.
During this event, groups perform on the biggest stages, take part in workshops with leading dance professionals and are offered dance careers information.
The regional panel's feedback for the piece stated: "This was an incredibly powerful piece which was delivered with a quiet confidence from the group.
"The choreography was strong and fierce, and allowed us to see the dancers as a group but also as individuals.
"There was a strong sense of community which empowered the piece and resulted in gorgeous transitions and unique formations."
4D Dance, started by Sara Ford, has been running classes for three to 18-year-olds in the Cambridgeshire area for almost a decade.
It will be launching two new locations later this year, in Histon and Cherry Hinton.
The success of the school has been recognised by a panel of judges at the Ely SME Business Awards and is a finalist in three categories.
These include the 'positive impact award', 'best enterprising business', and Sara is up for 'business person of the year'.
4D will find out the results of all of their achievements by the end of May.
