An author who lives in Ely has released a new book all about how to resolve arguments in everyday life.

‘Dealing with disputes and conflict’ is Tony Whatling’s third book following two earlier novels for trained mediators.

Tony has a professional background in mediation and dispute resolution, practice, training worldwide, consultation, and writing.

He said: “I have published two earlier books for trained mediators but wanted to do something for what I have called ‘lay mediators’, or what I like to think as a subtitle ‘power to the people’.

Listed on Amazon, ‘Dealing with disputes and conflict' offers accessible and practical strategies and solutions to guide untrained mediators and readers on effective ways to resolve disputes and conflict, across a wide range of dispute contexts.

Drawing together psychological and social scientific theories, Tony offers clear guidance for managing conflict in everyday life, ranging from experiences at work, with the community or at home.

Now a full-time wheelchair user with a very rare muscular atrophy, Tony’s next book is ‘How to manage your disability so as to limit the extent that it manages you’.
