A prolific Littleport shop thief has been sent back to prison.
Leroy Meads, 32, of Cornfield Lane, Littleport, was sentenced to eight months in prison on January 6 after pleading guilty to three counts of shop theft and breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order.
On December 31 and January 3, he stole £120 food and drink from the Co-Op in Main Street, Littleport.
On January 3, he also stole goods worth £56 from the Co-Op in Wisbech Road, Littleport.
Meads was captured on CCTV in all three offences and was identified by police. He was sentenced at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court.
His two-year CBO not to enter any Co-Op in Littleport remains in place until May, 2024.
PC Joe Braddick said: “Meads is a prolific thief with countless thefts against his name.
“We hope this latest sentence will provide some respite to businesses and once again give Meads the opportunity to get the help he needs to stop offending.”
