Launching in Spring 2023, Ben’s Yard is set to become Cambridgeshire’s most exciting and picturesque retail village.
Situated on the historic Stuntney Estate in beautifully landscaped grounds, and just a mile from Ely Cathedral, 15 minutes from Newmarket, and 30 minutes from the city of Cambridge, Ben’s Yard is the only retail provision of its kind in the area, and will be the go-to destination for browsing, buying, and relaxation.
Artisan appeal
Meticulously designed and carefully curated by owners Alastair and Victoria Morbey, Ben’s Yard will offer everything from high-end fashion and lifestyle boutiques, through to floristry, beauty, homewares and food, all the while championing local businesses and British brands. The thirteen retail units will combine shopping with nurture and wellbeing, with community, inclusivity and optimism at the heart of the enterprise.
Fine dining
When you need a well-deserved break and a spot of lunch after shopping, or a welcoming, comfortable place to meet up with friends for coffee and cake, Ben’s Yard Café will hit the spot. The gorgeous botanically-themed restaurant will offer all-day dining, with an exciting menu of modern British and international dishes, freshly prepared using seasonal and local produce. And no matter what the weather, you will be able to enjoy your meal al-fresco on the wrap-around terrace, with its patio heaters and umbrellas, while inside, cosy-up on a sofa by the fire, or just grab a quick bite at the counter.
More than just retail
The glorious setting of the Stuntney Estate means the whole family can enjoy a day out at Ben’s Yard. The Estate has five kilometres of marked trails to walk across the 250-acre site, including a two-mile hardcore loop suitable for wheelchairs, bikes and buggies. Spend an afternoon taking in the great outdoors, exploring the woodlands and fenlands, wildflower meadows and winter bird food pastures.
Younger visitors will enjoy the thrills and spills of the amazing adventure playground, which has been designed as a replica of Ely Cathedral; the perfect place for children to burn off a bit of energy between shops!
A Community Hub
Ben’s Yard will host a range of special events throughout the year, from food fairs, offering myriad produce, to Christmas markets, bringing seasonal cheer and a host of exciting products.
