A team of volunteers from Ely will deliver more than 150 food packs and 30 footballs for refugees in Calais this weekend.
Alongside the food packs, Sean Dennis, Stuart Browse, Kul Mahay and Tom Womersley of Ely Calais Refugee Action will give refugees notes and posters carrying messages of support.
Organiser Juliet Browse said: “Wow you guys are amazing! We will be delivering over 150 food packs this weekend lots with lovely handwritten notes to make people smile.
“Please wish the Ely team and everyone else that they will be travelling with luck and keep them in your prayers as they go off to Calais this weekend.
“They will be concentrating on building - we plan to build several structures using pallets that will help keep the refugees warm and safe in the coming winter months.”
